Sassy Pines: Convenient Set-up For Pets and Families

Cool old barbershop made into an apartment on the main street of Whitewood. Host was very responsive, and accommodating. I’d give this place a 5 Star place to stay in the historic town of Whitewood. Great backyard, and deck, and the town is pretty quiet. The bar at the end of the street is the oldest bar in South Dakota, from my understanding. There’s a coffee shop down the street, and 15 minutes to Spearfish, or Deadwood. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay here! It was very pet friendly with supplied blankets for furniture use and a fenced in yard. The house was clean and cool in the 100 degree temps while we were there. It is centrally located to Sturgis, Deadwood/Lead, and Spearfish for tourism and daily needs while being in a quite location for downtime.

Everything was great about this stay and more. It was nice to arrive at a cozy, clean, comfortable place after a long drive. It truly felt like home away from home. Amenities were plentiful! You can tell how much thoughtfulness was put into this stay. I highly recommend the barbershop and will most likely book another stay when I am in town.

It felt cozy, and space for people to spread out. It was a plus to have a fence for our furry friends. We loved walking down the street to take a nice park walk.

The property was great for pets. It was spacious and had a stocked fridge as well as a spice rack. The actual building was in the business district, but only a 5 min walk from a nice park.
